Application:
Vacuum bagging (not suitable for vacuum infusion. See Wiki for more information).
With this film, elasticity is the limiting factor, which is why preliminary tests under subsequent process conditions are recommended.

Two properties are primarily relevant for films:
Elastic deformation is reversible and describes how much the film can stretch before returning to its original state.
Plastic deformation cannot be reversed and describes how much the film can stretch until it finally tears.

The specification > 900 % refers to both elastic and plastic stretching (the latter being dominant). If the film is overstretched, it cannot recover to its original state. The picture here in the store shows it quite well. In the area of the fingers, the foil is already strongly plastically deformed, while it is still elastically stretched in the peripheral areas around the frame. The counterpart to this would be an elastomeric film made of silicone, natural rubber or PUR, which has a purely elastic deformation.

Storage:
Protect from daylight/UV radiation, do not store below 60 % humidity and at room temperature.
